Bonnie J. Ranch | Trout Creek, Montana
One of Montana's few Last Best Places. . .Insatiable open, scenic space and tranquility came to mind as I first visited this rare gem of a Montana ranch. The epitome of the Montana Dream Ranch, it’s rushing streams dance through hay meadows lined with towering mature timber sentries. The varied species of timber covers nearly half the acreage, about a million board feet worth. 1145 acres, more or less, in all with end of the road privacy, over a mile of Montana National Forest border & over 1.5 miles of Big and Little Beaver Creeks running through it. Over 400 irrigated acres of hay and pasture with state of the art irrigation & ample priority water claims. The substantial ranch buildings include, a 4000+ sf home on the creek, a 2400 sf nearly new home among the rolling hills, heated shop, 120’x30’ hay storage, 120’x20’ calving shed w/attached heated bldg, grain silos, equipment storage, detached garage, corrals, scale, cow & calf squeeze shoots and more. Elk, deer & moose as your neighbors. Last time this Montana ranch was available was 110 years ago. Rare find. $5,500,000
Scenery so Stunning, Buick made it their Backdrop...
Buick was doing a promotion for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, thus needed a spectacular backdrop for their photoshoot necessary for marketing materials. The Bonnie J Ranch was selected and out came the city folk, including models and a several select models of Buick cars for several days and many shoots on the ranch. It was all a bit exciting and made for many a tale by the proprietors and most certainly the city folks that visited and learned about the still wild west. Below are some photos.
